What California Should Learn from the Massachusetts Experiment with Same-sex Marriage. In the last November State elections California voters prevailed by a narrow margin in keeping the traditional definition of marriage as the legal union between a man and a woman. Nevertheless, the fight to legalize same-sex marriage is not over, since  homosexual representatives have filed a legal challenge by appealing to the California Supreme Court asking the judges to declare Proposition 8 unconstitutional. It is hard to predict the outcome of this legal action. In the meantime, Californians would do well to learn from the Massachusetts experiment with same-sex marriage. Here is the story of a Massachusetts man who was forced to spend a night in jail for requesting the right to be informed when the school was planning to indoctrinate his kindergarten children in the homosexual lifestyle. Pray At The Pump Movement. Rocky Twyman, music director for a Baltimore SDA church and founder of the Pray at the Pump Movement, has been praying at gas pumps now for two months hoping that God will llower gas prices. If you're new to this story, it's all over the map. Just Google the words "Pray at the Pump." Even Mike Fortune, pastor of Toledo's First Seventh-day Adventist Church, got in on the action and invited Rocky to lead "pray-ins" at local gas stations. Fortune asked Twyman to participate in an all-night prayer session "in hopes of bringing gas prices tumbling down like the walls of Jericho." Read the news article. The High Cost of Illegal's Hospital Care. We don't have to go to Florida to see this.  There is some of it here, but not nearly like it is in San Diego.  Paradise Valley Hospital went into bankruptcy and was sold to a for profit group because of the illegal alien patients they were forced to care for.  If a patient presents to the Emergency Room the hospital, by law, must care for them whether they can pay or not.  When a mother was ready to deliver her baby she would come across the border and present to an emergency room.  The for profit hospitals would order a cab, pay the driver and have him take the mother to another hospital.  This would go on until the baby was born - often in the cab - and the next hospital would have to take her and the baby in.  That way, the baby was born in the US and is a "citizen."  My girlfriend was on the hospital board and they were trying everything they could to stop the problem, but there was no help from immigration or anyone in US government.  Paradise Valley Hospital finally just had to sell. Lauren Richardson Needs Your Help! Lauren's life is endangered by a recent court decision made by Delaware Court of Chancery Master Sam Glasscock, III by which her feeding tube will be removed. As a disabled citizen, she is defenseless against the court-approved, imposed act of dehydration and starvation intended to cause her death. Lauren gave birth to a baby girl during this ordeal, and has not been allowed to see her child. This little baby girl needs a chance to know her mother. Lauren's family appeals to each person with compassion and love to understand why they wish to bring Lauren home and care for her. Lauren's situation is more critical than you can imagine.
